Education Initiative - Skills For The Future Programme

Right Track's Education Initiative - Skills for the Future Programme - has been designed to support young people aged 12 - 16 years, who are not engaged with mainstream education for a variety of reasons. The projects are delivered from premises in Bridgeton and Drumchapel, offering a wide catchment across the city and from Coatbridge and Bellshill in North Lanarkshire. The Skills for the Future Programme seeks to equip young people for the future and ensure that they are either supported to return to school or are engaged in a positive training, education or employment option, when they reach their official school leaving date. Get Ready For Work: Core Skills and Vocation Skills

  • Are you 16-18 years old?
  • Don't think you have the right qualification or experience?
  • Unsure of what job you would like to do or unsure fo the next step?

Focus Childcare Programme

  • Are you 16 to 17, unemployed and looking for a new Career?

The Focus Childcare Programme will offer a 16 week introduction to the skills required for employment in the Childcare Sector. Alongside practical Childcare Training and College day-release, the Programme will also offer part-time Work Experience with local Employers. Focus Landscaping Programme

  • Are you 16 to 17, unemployed and looking for a new Career?

The Focus Landscaping Programme will offer a 16 week introduction to the skills required for employment in Hard and Soft Landscaping. Alongside practical Landscaping Training and College day-release, the Programme will also offer Work Experience with local Employers. Motivator Project: Getting You Started

  • Are you 16 to 17, unemployed and looking for a new Career?

Lifeskills Programme

  • Are you 16-18 years old?
  • Not sure what you would like to do?
  • Not sure about joining a training programme?

Full-time, part-time or casual hours to meet your needs. The programme aims to assist you overcome personal barriers which may be preventing you from taking up training or employment opportunities. The programme will be based on your individual needs and external agencies may assist with some aspects of advice and guidance as required. Additionally, you will be offered training in personal and social skills, literacy, numeracy, information technology and will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of leisure and sports activities.
